VRLTA Education Foundation

The Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association Education Foundation (VRLTAEF) is a non-profit philanthropic foundation created by VRLTA to promote the hospitality industry to students. Goals include enhancing the industry’s training and education, career development, and community engagement efforts. VRLTAEF works with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) to promote NRAEF efforts in Virginia.

Supporting VRLTAEF helps us grow the Virginia ProStart program, a career-building program for high school students interested in the culinary arts and restaurant/foodservice management. In Virginia, ProStart programs touch 3,900+ students in 55 high schools.

Your support also helps VRLTAEF build the School-to-Career program for the hospitality industry. This program addresses some of the most compelling and timely issues that the industry is facing, including training and identifying and nurturing future managers. High school students who participate in the School-to-Career program will be able to compete for higher wages and advanced skill level careers in the hospitality industry while providing a viable workforce for industry employers.

VRLTAEF also offers annual scholarships to individuals studying in the hospitality industry. Learn more.

Sponsoring the Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association Education Foundation and the Virginia ProStart Program is the right choice when it comes to an ongoing commitment to feeding the dreams and building the futures of students and educators.
